BIOS

At a time when most newly founded companies do not survive, BIOS demonstrates the value of structured support for long-term business success.

Starting a business is a bold move, but also an extremely risky one. According to research from Harvard Business School, as many as 75 to 90% of startups fail, while Eurostat data shows that around 50% of newly established companies in the European Union cease operations within the first five years. The reasons are numerous: lack of experience, resources, mentorship, and business support.

At BIOS, we believe that success should not depend solely on luck and resourcefulness. That’s why we offer more than just office space — we provide a comprehensive support system that includes expert mentoring, training, consulting, modern infrastructure, and networking opportunities. Our goal is clear: to be the wind at the entrepreneurs’ backs during the most critical stages of their development.

Our internal analysis provides concrete indicators. We analyzed 60 companies currently residing in our incubator, as well as 60 companies that have completed our incubation program and are now successfully operating on the market. Based on Fina Info.BIZ data for 2024, companies currently in incubation generated a total of €9.6 million in revenue and €1.44 million in profit, while companies that have completed the incubation phase generate as much as €82.8 million in revenue and €7.2 million in profit annually. This means that companies which completed our program today generate 8.6 times more revenue and 5 times more profit compared to those still in incubation.

Among our current tenants, ASIO d.o.o., a company specializing in engineering and technical consulting, stands out with the highest revenue — €1.8 million.

The company Intelligentia d.o.o., specialized in artificial intelligence research and development, records the highest profit per employee — €152,000, which is twice the highest profit per employee among our former tenants, held by S.E.G. inženjering d.o.o. (specialized in solar power plants), with €72,250 per employee.

Our former tenants who continued their business after completing incubation are also achieving remarkable results. Energos d.o.o., a company specializing in the production of distribution cabinets, generates the highest revenue — €31.2 million, while Orqa d.o.o., known for developing advanced FPV (First Person View) technologies, achieves the highest overall profit — €2.5 million annually.

These examples show that entrepreneurs, with the right support, can achieve significant market success and compete at a high level even in the early stages of development.

At BIOS, we continue to build an entrepreneurial ecosystem that enables companies to grow from an idea into sustainable and strong business entities. Our results clearly show that with support, success is not only possible — it’s measurable.
