We are proud to highlight the outstanding achievement of our resident company, Downtown Game Studio, which recently secured first place on the prestigious YouTube channel Best Indie Games. This channel, known for showcasing and promoting the best upcoming indie titles, recognized Dark Queen of Samobor as one of the most exciting games, placing it at the very top among all indie projects. This major success is a testament to the game's quality and potential, already generating significant interest within the gaming community.

Inspired by the works of Ivana Brlić-Mažuranić and August Šenoa, the game blends the richness of Croatian cultural heritage with modern gaming elements. The newly released trailer, which has received an enthusiastic response, offers a deeper look into the project currently in full development, with a planned release in the fourth quarter of 2026. The game explores the legends of Samobor, and the option to add it to your Steam wishlist is already available.

This project not only showcases the creativity and innovation of Downtown Game Studio, but also highlights Croatia’s potential on the global gaming scene. Dark Queen of Samobor is a prime example of how local tradition can be transformed into a successful global product.
