Former Residents, Eternal Ambassadors – 10 Proud Stories from the BIOS Business Incubator
NEWS
2025/07/07
The City of Osijek founded the BIOS Business Incubator with the goal of encouraging entrepreneurship and providing support to startups and small businesses. As part of that mission, 156 companies have gone through the incubation process so far, further strengthening the region’s capacity and innovation.
In entrepreneurship, there is no greater recognition than seeing an idea — with the right support and enough perseverance — grow into a successful and recognizable product. The BIOS Business Incubator believes that beginnings mean everything, but they believe in what comes next even more. That’s why they follow the business journeys of former residents with great pride and enthusiasm — companies that have moved on from BIOS, but never out of BIOS’s focus.
This article focuses on ten companies that, after completing their incubation, have built products that are changing markets, winning awards, creating jobs, and spreading a positive image of local entrepreneurship — not only in the region but across the globe — from Osijek to Oslo, from health to technology.
1. Oxygen Optimal Therapeutic Socks – TERRAPROMO d.o.o. – https://terrapromo.eu
Since its beginnings at BIOS in 2014, TERRAPROMO d.o.o. has built a recognizable brand that combines traditional methods with modern technologies. They broke into the market with their Oxygen Optimal therapeutic socks, which stimulate local circulation and increase blood oxygen levels by up to 29%. Their product range has expanded to include various herbal gels and creams, such as the CBD Forte massage gel and a gel containing synthetically processed rattlesnake venom. Alongside numerous dietary supplements and patches, all of their products support the healthy functioning of joints, the cardiovascular system, and digestion, while also helping to reduce pain and support weight loss.
Today, the company proudly holds around 20 patents, two gold innovation medals awarded in the city of Osijek, and a special recognition from the Polish Association of Inventors. If you're looking for an innovative, authentic, and high-quality solution to any of the above-mentioned issues, it’s hard to imagine needing anything more than what TERRAPROMO has to offer.
2. GlycanAge – JASPERO d.o.o.–https://jaspero.co
Let’s open the door to the world of digital technologies with something that may seem simple at first glance, but in reality involves a series of complex processes – the development of websites and applications based on JavaScript and modern full-stack architecture. This is the area of expertise of JASPERO, a development agency founded in 2015, which today employs around 20 professionals. As a service-based agency, Jaspero does not develop its own SaaS products but focuses on building solutions for clients, with numerous high-quality projects under its belt.
Among these, GlycanAge stands out – a platform based on laboratory research that allows users to gain insight into their biological age, with the goal of improving diet, lifestyle, and overall health. GlycanAge is founded on more than 30 years of scientific research and over 200,000 tests conducted, and has been recognized in publications such as Forbes, The Wall Street Journal, Daily Mail, and others.
In addition to the GlycanAge project, Jaspero also takes pride in collaborations on projects such as Plodovi.hr and Move & Meet.
3. SoFlow – SAMURAI DIGITAL d.o.o.–https://www.samurai-digital.com
We return to the digital world — and what better way to do that than by introducing SAMURAI DIGITAL, a digital product agency specialized in the design and development of such products. The company’s work is integrated across sectors including healthcare, sports, media, technology, real estate, sales, and the SaaS industry.
One of their most notable projects is the one for SoFlow – a Swiss company specializing in the sale of e-scooters and accessories. During the six-month duration of the project, they developed an app tailored to user needs, enriched with additional features compared to the previous version. They also helped the company boost its online sales revenue by enhancing and optimizing their webshop.
Projects for BikeBox and MobilityBox are also among their more interesting works, and more about these projects and valuable lessons from their field can be found on their blog: https://www.samurai-digital.com/blog/.
With offices in Osijek, Varaždin, and Zagreb, the company generated nearly €900,000 in total revenue last year — a 40% increase compared to the previous year. With a team of 15 employees, the average net salary increased by 22%compared to the previous year.

Today, they employ over 13 professionals in the fields of marketing and software development.
In their early years, they won awards for the best use of technology in marketing campaigns (SoMo Tech), and today they run regional campaigns for Jägermeister (Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, North Macedonia, Slovenia, etc.). In addition to the regional Jägermeister project, they are known for their marketing campaigns for Zdenka cheese, Teekanne teas, and Waldinger restaurant, as well as custom software solutions developed for Novi Informator, Selectio, Scanlon Associates from Ireland, and Magnify from the UAE.

In addition to the successful online platform Agroklub.com, AGROKLUB d.o.o. also organizes the AgroRocks conference, aimed at discussing and presenting new ideas, trends, and technologies in the agricultural sector.
7. Norwegian Multifunctional Playgrounds – D&D Metal
If you thought the projects of former BIOS residents were limited to Croatia and the surrounding region, think again — some reach as far as distant Norway. D&D Metal is one of the pioneering companies of the BIOS Business Incubator and has been producing various types of machine parts and metal support structures since 2002. They were literally the first to enter BIOS — even before the electricians — and today, they are highly successful in what they do.
One of the company’s most important projects was the delivery of 70 metal fences for children’s playgrounds in Norway, but they didn’t stop there. In addition to delivering the fences, they also carried out the complete installation and adaptation of several multifunctional playgrounds across the country. For clients in Norway, they also provided services for installing over 25,000 stadium seats in Oslo and Hamar.
8. Google Analytics and Social Media Marketing – ESCAPE d.o.o.–https://www.escapestudio.hr
It’s impossible to leave out the pioneer of IT technologies in the BIOS Business Incubator — the company that opened the door for other IT and AI companies that now occupy most of our premises — ESCAPE d.o.o.. Founded in 2003, the company is now specialized in Google Analytics and Social Media Marketing, and their work is recognized throughout the country. According to Klik.hr, they were named the best digital marketing agency in Croatia in 2025, and today they employ 37 people.
Among them is Miroslav Varga, the only Google Certified Trainer (GCT) in the world who holds the title of grandfather. Aside from their current team, it's worth mentioning a former employee — Tomislav Bilić. As one of the co-founders, he set out for a new challenge in 2008 and founded INCHOO d.o.o., a company that also specializes in e-commerce development, digital marketing, data analysis, and UX/UI design. Today, with 30 employees, INCHOO has completed over 500 projects.
Back to ESCAPE — some of their most well-known projects have been carried out with clients such as Croatia Airlines, Valamar, Bauhaus, Podravka, and others. They have also worked on cross-border campaigns, such as the I Feel Slovenia project. In 2024, the company recorded €5.25 million in revenue, and by all activity indicators, they rank above the Croatian average.

https://europachemica.hr
Inspired by the plains of Slavonia and a culture permeated by various forms of agriculture, EUROPA CHEMICA GRUPA d.o.o. chose to dedicate itself to the production and development of various types of agrochemicals. The company was founded in 2010, and after less than two years, its production demands outgrew BIOS’s capacities. Today, it is positioned as an important supplier of modern and sustainable solutions for plant protection and livestock production.
The product that has stood out as the company’s greatest market breakthrough is undoubtedly GLYFOON 480 – a total herbicide that has made the company recognizable on both the Croatian and broader European markets. Alongside it, a wide range of foliar fertilizers are also produced and distributed by the company, including UREA TURBO, BOR 300, AMINOGREEN TURBO, and others.
The quality of the company’s work was recognized by the City of Osijek, which allocated €8,000 from its budget as support for the purchase and installation of machinery and equipment. Today, the company employs 8 people, and in the previous year, it achieved a total revenue of €1.6 million.
10. Electrical Installations at Portanova – ENERGOS d.o.o.–https://www.energos-osijek.hr
In an era where the majority of Croatian projects are executed by foreign companies or workers, Osijek is an exception. You may have wondered who is behind the electrical installations in buildings like the Faculty of Civil Engineering or the many INA gas stations that "light up" every corner of the city – it’s a company that took its first steps at BIOS.
ENERGOS d.o.o., founded in 2006, has since grown into a medium-sized enterprise with over 150 employees. The company specializes in a wide range of electrical installation works, testing and inspection of electrical systems, as well as renting equipment such as hydraulic lifting baskets.
One of their most significant and recognizable projects is undoubtedly the Portanova shopping center in Osijek. Their electrical installation services were not only requested for the external lighting, but also by major brands such as Mango, Croatian Post, and Deichmann – all located within the center.

Total profit also rose by 120%, reaching €1.6 million, while the average salary increased by 30%.
